CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Children are a vital part of the Mt. Carmel family. Jesus welcomed children, and we believe they are not only the church of the future, but an essential part of the church today. We offer a variety of educational and enrichment opportunities that encourage children to grow in faith, experience joy, build friendships, and express their creativity as they learn what it means to live and serve as part of the church.

WORSHIP & SUNDAY SCHOOL

Children are welcome and encouraged to participate in all worship services at Mt. Carmel, and we celebrate the energy and joy they bring—after all, God put the wiggle in them! Children begin Sunday mornings upstairs in the worship service and, following Children’s Time, are invited to go downstairs for Sunday School. Activity bags are available from an usher to help engage young worshippers. During the 10 a.m. service, a nursery is provided downstairs for infants and toddlers age two and under and is staffed by a paid, certified caregiver along with a trained volunteer.

Vacation Bible School

Save the date for next summer and join us for a week of fun at Vacation Bible School (VBS). Children age 3 (and potty trained) to rising 5th grade are invited to join us for Bible lessons, games, snacks, music, and crafts. We are always looking for helping hands, students who are rising 6th grade and older and adults are invited to volunteer.

Next VBS: June 1–5, 2026, 9:30 a.m.– 12 p.m.

kid's night out

Kids’ Night Out (KNO) is a fun, safe, and welcoming evening designed for children from age two through fifth grade. These events give kids a chance to enjoy games, crafts, food, and time with friends in a relaxed church setting, while parents enjoy a few hours of free time knowing their children are well cared for. Kids’ Night Out provides opportunities for laughter, creativity, and connection, and also relies on the support of volunteers who help make each evening enjoyable and meaningful for everyone involved.

Next KNO: Feb. 7, 2026, 5–7 p.m.
